This interview was originally published on August 7, 2014. Mr. Williams tells Paul Jay that to face up to the science of climate change, coal and oil conglomerates worth trillions of dollars have to keep their fossil fuels in the ground – something capitalism can’t allow.
Talia Baroncelli interviews Paul Jay; “The financial elites know how dangerous the climate crisis is, but they won’t acknowledge the only solution is central planning, government regulation, and intervention. They know market mechanisms won’t work within a time frame that matters, if at all. They’re not against central planning. What is the Pentagon if not central planning? What is the Fed and bank bailouts if not central planning? Central planning in their interests and under their control is okay. But government planning that transforms the economy and phases out fossil fuel, is unacceptable. They hate any form of socialism more than they hate risking the end of civilization.”
Mr. Robock says coal burning must end now and fracking is not a good transitional form of energy production. This is an episode of Reality Asserts Itself, produced May 6, 2014.

Workers need to know that oil companies have lied to them for years; the elites imagine a world at four degrees warming is acceptable; that a just transition for fossil fuel workers is affordable. Patrick Bond joins Paul Jay on theAnalysis.news.
U.S. nuclear war strategy is driven by an arms industry that’s willing to risk the end of life on earth to maximize return on their investment. The manufacturers of nuclear weapons are now primarily owned by Blackrock and other institutional investors who profit from a renewed nuclear arms race. Paul Jay is the guest on “Law and Disorder” hosted by Michael Smith.
Holy Sh*t. I thought I was the only one who called CCS and running everything on hydrogen fuel cell technology BS. Funny videos that get to the point. 90% of the people on this planet don’t want to take a bus, train, walk, or cycle anywhere. We are still making Ford F350’s for people commuting to work. China is building 30 new coal plants. People would rather believe made up shit from a man with fake hair than a PHD who spends there life dedicated to science with peer review. We’re doomed.
